A truckload of tower

A good view of a single 10 foot section of AB-105. This is sturdy stuff. In the past is has been used for a 180' tower holding a 4 stack of 5 element 20M beams and a 2 stack of 4 element 40M beams. Also, note the horizontal steps that NK7U has added to the tower which makes climbing much easier.

Here NK7U is touching up the galvanizing on a tower section. This tower has been very well taken care of over the years.

NK7U has also improved the tower in many ways. Here you can see him installing guy wire attachment brackets. No wrapping the guy around the tower leg! He also installed the horizontal steps to make climbing easier as seen here and in the first photo.

Here is a view of multiple tower sections to get another sense of scale. 500' of this tower is available in 10' sections with all the nuts, bolts, rotor and thrust bearing plates as well as complete documentation. If you look over the top of the cab of the truck you can see the base of a 180' AB-105 tower holding a 4 stack of 5 element 20M beams and a 2 stack of 4 element 40M beams.
